Etui Needle Case

Etui is French for a small decorative case used for needles, toiletry articles, or the like. Our little needle case finishes to 3-1/2″ x 11″ open. When closed it makes a perfect little case for travel. Enjoy this simple project from Jan’s book, Embroidery & Patchwork Revisited!

Designed by Jan’s sister, Sandy Amador, this little 4-1/2″ x 5″ sewing case is great for on-the-go sewing, embroidery or even a purse size first-aid kit. The case is designed for no-fray fabrics such as wools, felts, suedes, or ultra-suedes. Sketch and envision your own stitches and stitch combinations for the Fan Favorite quilt blocks in Embroidery & Patchwork Revisited. To create your doodle pad, print the PDF on 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper. Cut the pages in half to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Punch the top with a 2-hole punch, and tie together with 3/8″ grosgrain ribbon. Print multiples of pages 2 and 3 to give you a wealth of sketching pages.
